Grievance Process
The grievance process is intended to resolve certain employment issues as outlined by the applicable grievance policy or regulation.
Employees subject to the State Human Resources Act (SHRA employees) who wish to file a formal grievance should refer to the University SHRA Employee Grievance Policy for information pertaining to grievable issues and processes. To file, complete an SHRA Formal Internal Grievance Form and submit it to employeerelations@ncsu.edu or the designated Employee Relations Grievance Coordinator.
Exempt Professional Staff (EPS employees) should refer to the REG 05.25.06 Review and Appeal Procedures for Exempt Professional Staff (EPS) Employee for information pertaining to grievable issues and processes. To file, send an email to employeerelations@ncsu.edu or the Director of Employee Relations, detailing the grievable issue.
Grievance filings must include all applicable and relevant details at the time of submission. Due to the limited time to file, employees with potential grievable issues should contact Employee Relations immediately following the action giving rise to the concern.
If your concerns do not constitute a grievable issue, you are encouraged to consult with Employee Relations on other possible informal resolution strategies.
