Campus Enterprises
CE Spotlight
An employee recognition program for permanent, temporary and student employees who go above and beyond. Individuals (colleagues or campus community) submit a nomination via the CE website. A nomination committee reviews the monthly nominations and selects one employee from each employee group. The employee selected for the “spotlight” each month is highlighted in the monthly CE newsletter. All monthly recipients are highlighted in a slide show and presented with a certificate during the annual spring recognition events for all CE employees.

Center for Geospatial Analytics
Center for Geospatial Analytics (CGA) Annual Awards
The CGA Awards honor members of the Center for Geospatial Analytics community whose efforts exemplify center ideals of collaboration, inclusion and excellence in research, teaching and service. Center students and faculty/staff are nominated by other center members for the awards, and winners are selected by the center’s Awards Committee. Awards are presented at an annual banquet.

Extension Award Program

Sciences SPOT Award
Allows any member of the COS community to recognize the contributions of another person or team with a printable certificate that can optionally be shared with the recipient’s department or unit. Awards do not require review by a committee or supervisor and can be printed or saved immediately.

Division of Academic and Student Affairs
DASA Star Award
A spot recognition award that allows any DASA employee to recognize a colleague in DASA for Service, Talent, Attitude or for being an all-around Rock Star. Employees can nominate a colleague at any time during the year using an online form.

Facilities Division
Facilities Coin for Exceptional Service
Facilities Unit Directors can submit a request to the Facilities AVC to present a metal coin honoring an employee for exceptional service for the University.

Finance and Administration
Finance and Administration Scholarship
The Office of Finance and Administration offers several $600 scholarships for the academic year, to provide scholarship support for the children of full-time employees of the Office of Finance and Administration at NC State University. An application is required, which is reviewed by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. The scholarships are supported by the Endowment Fund, in recognition of academic achievement.

Institute for Emerging Issues
Wolf Inspire
The Institute for Emerging Issues Wolf Inspire Employee Appreciation Program is based on the 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace by Gary Chapman. The goal is to have sustainable, consistent recognition for its employees on the individual and team levels from peers and leadership that coincides with service to the department while being committed to the mission and core values. Employees are recognized annually, monthly, every six weeks, and weekly to appreciate and recognize staff for their efforts.

Chancellor’s Creating Community Awards
The Chancellor’s Creating Community Awards recognize outstanding faculty, staff, colleges, students and student organizations that have made exceptional efforts and contributions in the areas of equity, diversity and inclusion.

TOAST (Totally Outstanding Attitude, Service & Talent)
To show your appreciation and give someone a T.O.A.S.T. award, simply complete our T.O.A.S.T. Awards Form. After you submit the form, you will receive a certificate that can be printed and presented to the recipient as a way of saying “Thank you” and “Job well done.”

IT Community Awards
The NC State IT Community Awards aim to recognize teams and individuals that have made a significant collaborative impact within the IT Community. Nominations for these awards, first started in 2019, are open to any member of the NC State IT Community.

Procurement Services
P&BS Team Building Initiative
Selected staff members work together to present innovative topics at the Bi-monthly P&BS staff meetings. An annual team celebration/luncheon event that recognizes employees based on different tracks, for example, Creativity, Innovation, Teamwork & Collaboration, Customer Service, and Going the Extra Mile. Selections for the annual awards will be made based on the bi-monthly presentations and on-going Peer-to-Peer recognition collected through an internal form that allows employees to recognize their peers for something specific. The form will be submitted to the employee with a copy to the supervisor.

University Human Resources
Pack Praise
University Human Resources’ Pack Praise program allows UHR employees, including temporary employees, the opportunity to recognize the outstanding work of UHR peers that align with each of the division’s eight CREATIVE core values. A team reviews the submissions and chooses which nominees shall receive recognition. Recipients are announced on the UHR internal site and during monthly staff meetings. They receive certificates of recognition.
