The federal Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) was enacted in March to address the impact of COVID-19 on the U.S. The FFCRA provides eligible employees with emergency paid sick leave and expanded family medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. Its provisions went into effect April 1 and will remain in effect through Dec. 31.
