KinderCare Offers 10% Tuition Discount to NC State Employees, Students, Alumni

Child Care

NC State employees, students and alumni can now get a 10% discount on tuition at KinderCare child care centers across the country.

KinderCare has 1,500 centers nationwide, including 60 in North Carolina. The discount is for parents who already have children enrolled at a KinderCare facility and those interested in enrolling their children at a center. To get the discount, your child must be between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years old.

KinderCare has planned a virtual meeting for 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 6 to provide information about its discount offer. If you would like to attend the meeting, fill out this sign-up form.

You also can read this flyer and visit the KinderCare website for NC State employees, students and alumni to learn more about the offer.

NC State offers its employees a robust child care discount program. The providers that participate in the program offer employees various discounts on tuition and fees. To learn more about the program, go to NC State’s child care resources webpage.

University Human Resources manages the child care program and is currently working to expand the program. Britt Hurst, manager of the employee recognition and wellness program, said a new priority for the program is to add more providers that will offer discounts to students.

“While the focus of UHR is to provide benefits and perks for staff and faculty, NC State’s mission is to provide a quality education for students,” she said. “One of the barriers to education for students who have children is a lack of access to child care. Making our program more inclusive of students so they can continue their education is a win for the university.”
