Employee well-being is vitally important to NC State. However, the COVID-19 pandemic’s effect on mental health remains a major concern. That’s why University Human Resources has scheduled a slate of virtual sessions in July and August that will focus on mental and emotional wellness. These sessions are meant to help employees cope with challenges such as stress and anxiety.

Managing Worry and Anxiety

This training helps leaders, managers and supervisors understand the impact of mental health and wellness in the workplace, recognize challenges, learn how to support and engage in practices that support mental health and learn about available resources for employees.

During times of uncertainty, it’s normal to feel fear and anxiety. People have a powerful need to understand and predict their environments in order to feel in control. This course includes practical tips for coping with uncertainty and re-establishing control.
