Staff Senate Launches Charity Drives
NC State’s Staff Senate kicked off two charity drives this month and will start a third one in November.
“The drives are a testament to how passionate Staff Senate is about community engagement and outreach,” said Marie Williams, vice chancellor of University Human Resources and the chancellor’s liaison to Staff Senate “We hope as many members of the Wolkpack family as possible contribute to the drives.”
Staff Senate is seeking donations of canned food, coats and toys from the Wolfpack family. Collection sites for each of the drives are located across campus.
“We just want to show that we care and get our community involved,” said Ebony Peterson, chair of the Staff Senate’s Community Service and Engagement committee. “There is nothing like helping our own community, and that also means the NC State community.”

Toys for Tots
Toys for Tots is a U.S. Marine Corps Reserve program that distributes toys to needy children. You can drop off an unwrapped new toy at one of the campus collection sites through Dec. 13.

The canned food drive will benefit Feed the Pack, NC State’s food pantry, and the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. The last day to donate is Nov. 4.
