Nominations Due for the John R. Larkins Award for distinguished Human Service

Each year during the State Employees Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration, a state employee is awarded the John R. Larkins award for their commitment to equality and justice in the workplace and community. The Governor’s Office would like to continue this tradition of excellence and honor an outstanding state employee.

The John R. Larkins Award was established in 1998 to recognize human service, and is presented annually at the North Carolina State Employees Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Observance Program. This year, the Award will honor a State employee who exemplifies the same virtues that made Dr. Larkins stand out at work and in the community, and who has made an impact on the lives of others.

Nominations for NC State Faculty or Staff members as candidates for this award are due by December 19, 2016. Read more about the John R. Larkins Award and submit nominations here:
